How do they work?
Our balaclavas are made from 100% acrylic yarn infused with thermochromic pigment.
Inside the yarn are microscopic capsules ha sealed capsules and that's what is reacting to changes in temperature.
When warmth touches it, the pigment activates and your colour shifts. When it cools back down it shifts right back.
How we ensure they're safe
The colour-changing pigment is fully microencapsulated, meaning every single pigment particle is sealed inside its own protective polymer shell before it ever touches the yarn.
Nothing can migrate to your skin or be inhaled due to the capsules being bonded directly into the yarn rather than sitting loosely on the surface.
When we originally went in with the idea of starting this, we researched far and wide and ensured safety. With the same technology being used in children's feeding products, cosmetics, and food-grade packaging.
Our pigments are currently being certified for the OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. We've gone with this for it's reputation of being one of the hardest textile safety certifications recognised globally.
What's your refund policy?
We accept returns within 30 days of delivery. If your item arrives defective or damaged, we'll issue a full refund.
If you'd simply like a different color, we're happy to exchange it.

How should I wash them?
We recommend doing a hand wash to ensure the heat-reactive capsules don't get irritated.
